The New Education Policy (NEP 2020) recognises teachers and faculty as the heart of the learning process. In the 21st century, good school teachers are much more than mere knowledge repositories for children. Unlike the previous century's focus on passing down information, today, teachers are mentors, caregivers, problem solvers, and facilitators who adapt to the changing world and the needs of their students. Developing and upskilling teachers is essential for realising the goals of the NEP 2020. Teachers are the backbone of the learning process, and investing in their continuous professional development, recruitment, service conditions, and career management is crucial for achieving the vision of providing quality education for all children. Facilitated training on facilitating empowering spaces with a group of fabulous teachers from #jhtaraporeschool as part of a series of training directed at the professional development of teachers. The training could not have been the same without the support of the wonderful films made by #commutinytheyouthcollective. The teachers were fantastic and on this Women's Day, I was once again reminded of the many women who have taught me and enriched my life and journey.
?? Exciting moments at the Regional Volunteer SPOC meeting in Jamshedpur! ?? Our founder, Souvik Saha, had the honour of being a panellist at this prestigious event conducted by The Tata Sustainability group. ???? Representing People for Change and Jamshedpur Queer Circle, Souvik emphasized the significance of volunteering and fostering collaborations among organizations to positively impact our communities. ???? A big shoutout to Mr. Sourav Roy, the head of Tata Steel Foundation, for facilitating the insightful session attended by CSR representatives from over 20 Tata group companies, including the esteemed VP - CS, Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary. ?????? The event was with CSR representatives from 20+ Tata Group companies, including Tata Motors, Jusco, Tata Steel, Tata Ryerson, Tata Cummins, Tata AIG, Croma, Tata Power, and more! ??
